2012 Elections

Greetings to the membership of The Clan Mackay Society, USA.
The executive board of the Society hopes that all of you have a super holiday season and are ready for the coming year.

One of the first items of year for your society is the election of a couple of officers. According to our bylaws, we are due to elect a National Vice President and a Secretary this month. The election of President and Treasurer will occur in January of 2015.

So, if any of you are interested in making yourself available for either of these offices, please let either our President, Mel McKay (president@clanmackayusa.org) or myself, Charles McKay, National VP (charlesemckay@msn.com) know as soon as possible. It would be of benefit if you could provide a short biography along with your request.

All of this election activity is on a rather tight schedule since we are a little late in getting this notification out. It should have gone out last month, but I am sure with assistance from you, the membership, we can get this done by the end of January. If you have an interest in serving in either of these offices, please let us know by Friday, January 13, 2012.

On another subject, we would like to welcome our new members to the Society and are hopeful that you will benefit from your membership. If you have an opportunity, try to visit one of our clan gatherings in your local area this coming year.

There are other areas in which you can assist your society such as State Commissioners and Regional VP positions.

We are looking for Commissioners in the states of Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Regional V.P. positions that are open are: North East Region (CT MA ME NH NJ NY RI VT) and South East Region (AL FL GA LA MS NC SC TN).

So, if any of you are interested in any of these positions, please contact any of the members of the Leadership Team as listed on the Clan Leadership page of the Clan Mackay Society web site (www.clanmackayusa.org).
