Philip Ramseur Elam Sr., died at his residence in Mars Hill, N.C. on December 24, 2006 at age 92.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and son in law, two brothers, and two sisters.  Surviving are two daughters and a son, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  One of the daughters is Mackay Life Member, Julia Elam Mackie of Winston-Salem, NC.
